College of Wooster Covenant Scholarship
Offered by The College of Wooster
About this scholarship
The College of Wooster Covenant Scholarship supports incoming first-year students who attend a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation and have demonstrated academic achievement as well as involvement in their church and community. For fall 2027 entrants, the award provides $1,000 to $3,000 per year and may be added to a Dean’s Scholar award when the student qualifies for both. This is an interest-based scholarship, so students must complete both Wooster’s general admission application and the separate Covenant Scholarship form. The admission application is due November 1, 2026, while the Covenant form must be submitted by midnight Eastern Time on December 1, 2026. Early Decision I applicants are strongly encouraged to finish both pieces by November 1 so their full scholarship and financial-aid package can accompany the admission decision. The scholarship form asks applicants to identify their church and explain, in 500 words or fewer, how their Presbyterian Church experience will influence their involvement on the Wooster campus. The official page states that interest-based awards are renewable when recipients continue to meet their qualifications and criteria.
