College of Saint Mary Marie Curie Scholars Program

Offered by College of Saint Mary

About this scholarship

The College of Saint Mary Marie Curie Scholars Program supports high-achieving women pursuing selected science and mathematics bachelor’s degrees in Omaha, Nebraska. Each recipient may receive up to $20,000 per year for four years, a maximum potential value of $80,000. Up to seven new scholars are selected annually. Beyond tuition support, the program provides faculty mentorship, hands-on research, seminars, leadership and professional development, networking, conference opportunities, and a peer community focused on women in STEM. Applicants must be new full-time College of Saint Mary students, hold U.S. citizenship, live on campus, and declare biology, chemistry, or mathematics. Pre-occupational-therapy-doctorate, pre-physician-assistant, and physician-assistant-studies tracks are specifically excluded. The current minimum GPA is 3.0. A student first submits the direct CSM admission application and must be accepted. She then files the FAFSA using school code 002540, signs into the CSM scholarship portal with her application credentials, and completes the Marie Curie application. The required essay is at least 500 words and addresses the applicant’s STEM motivation, career plans, influential experiences, learning strategies, and how residential participation would strengthen her development. Selected applicants complete a virtual interview with the program director. The active official page does not publish a closing date, so students should start the admission process promptly and confirm the live portal deadline rather than rely on an aggregator’s “varies” label.
