Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation Scholarships

Offered by Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

About this scholarship

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation provides rolling, need-based education support to dependent children—natural, stepchildren, or adopted—who lost a military parent in the line of duty during combat or peacetime. All U.S. Armed Forces branches and active, reserve, and National Guard components are covered. The Foundation aims to fill the documented gap between government aid and education costs. Eligible paths include accredited colleges and universities plus trade or vocational programs leading to an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, license, or certificate. High-school juniors and seniors may request a $500 pre-college stipend for testing, preparation, applications, and transcript fees. Enrolled students may receive help with tuition and fees, books and supplies, study abroad, internships, summer study, a $2,150-per-semester living stipend, and a one-time $1,650 computer stipend. Eligible graduates may request reimbursement for undergraduate student loans or out-of-pocket tuition. Assistance is limited to five years before age 34 and current lifetime caps are $75,000 for Chapter 33 Fry recipients and $100,000 for Chapter 35 DEA recipients, based on documented need rather than a guaranteed amount. Applicants email the official required records, including military casualty documentation, VA eligibility, transcript, current class schedule when enrolled, itemized tuition or other need, and the completed Student Verification Form. A minimum 2.0 prior-term GPA is required.
