Chickasaw Nation Governor’s, Lt. Governor’s and Legislators’ Scholarships
Offered by The Chickasaw Nation
About this scholarship
The Chickasaw Nation Governor’s, Lt. Governor’s and Legislators’ Scholarships recognize incoming college freshmen with exceptional high school performance. The one-time fall awards range from $350 to $500, with the exact amount based on the student’s high school GPA. Applicants need a GPA of at least 3.85, making this a distinct merit award rather than the recurring General Scholarship available to continuing students with a 3.0 term GPA. Students must be Chickasaw citizens and must be entering an accredited college or university. The official higher-education application also asks for a transcript and class schedule, and applicants should follow any document requests shown in their My Chickasaw account. This scholarship is offered only for the fall term, whose application window runs July 15 through September 15. It can complement other Chickasaw Nation grants and academic support when the student qualifies, but each benefit has its own rules and the Nation determines final eligibility. Because the award is a small one-time contribution rather than tuition replacement, it is classified as partial funding. The official program page and authenticated My Chickasaw portal are the authoritative sources for current instructions.
