Central Michigan University International President's Award
Offered by Central Michigan University
About this scholarship
The Central Michigan University International President's Award is the top automatic merit-based undergraduate scholarship in CMU's international scholarship table. The award gives eligible students the U.S. resident tuition rate rather than the standard international rate. CMU states that students with fewer than 56 college credits save $9,024 per year, while students with 56 or more credits save $8,952 per year, based on 2025-2026 tuition rates for 24 credits per year. The award is partial funding because it reduces tuition but does not cover full tuition and fees, housing, food, books, health insurance, travel, or personal expenses. International degree-seeking students are automatically considered when they apply to CMU; there is no separate scholarship application and no essay. If the student meets the requirements, CMU awards the highest scholarship for which the student qualifies. Sponsored students funded by their home country are not eligible for an award. Transfer students must also meet the transfer-credit minimum stated by CMU.
