Carson Scholars Fund Scholarship
Offered by Carson Scholars Fund
About this scholarship
The Carson Scholars Fund Scholarship awards $1,000 college scholarships to academically strong students in grades 4 through 11 who are actively serving their communities. The 2027 cycle is school-nominated: students cannot request or submit an application independently. A teacher, counselor, principal, or other eligible educator must first nominate the student through the school process. Nominations open October 19, 2026 and close December 16 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern; approved nominees then receive the private application link by email. The nominee’s complete application, teacher or counselor recommendation, essay, and current report card are due January 13, 2027. Applicants must attend an accredited United States school, earn at least a 3.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale during the current school year, participate actively in service, and not have previously received the monetary Carson Scholarship. Grade-specific 2027 essay prompts are published on the official student page. The award is invested on the student’s behalf until high-school graduation, when it may be sent directly to an accredited U.S. college or university for tuition, books, or room and board. Students interested in being considered should contact their teacher, counselor, or principal well before the nomination deadline rather than waiting for the January application date.
