Britt Kearce Memorial Scholarship
Offered by Britt Kearce Memorial Scholarship in partnership with Positive Athlete
About this scholarship
The Britt Kearce Memorial Scholarship will award three one-time $3,000 cash scholarships during the 2026–27 school year to Georgia high school baseball players who reflect Coach Britt Kearce’s love of baseball, commitment to improvement, and positive influence in their communities. The sponsor has announced that nominations open in September 2026, are due in April 2027, and recipients will be announced in June 2027. It has not yet published an exact April deadline, so this record does not invent the April 15 date shown by the discovery directory. Any adult may nominate a qualifying player in grades 9 through 12 from a public or private high school anywhere in Georgia. Candidates are evaluated on baseball involvement, academic achievement, community participation, and a recommendation from a current or former coach that describes dedication to the game and its values. Nominees do not have to continue playing baseball in college. The award may be used for expenses at any school or educational program, including room, board, and other living costs, and is delivered as a check to the recipient. There are no renewal rules, major restrictions, school-change penalties, or post-award service obligations. Nominations are managed through the official Positive Athlete Georgia pathway linked from the scholarship sponsor’s site.
