About this scholarship

Boise State University International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships are automatic tuition awards for international applicants who complete their admission files by the posted scholarship deadline. The scholarship package combines Boise State non-resident awards, including the Ridgeline and Summit scholarships, with Global Scholarships that are reserved for international students. First-year and transfer applicants may be considered, and the published table awards from $5,000 to $17,000 per year depending on cumulative GPA. The maximum annual award is available to students with a 4.000+ GPA and combines a $10,000 non-resident scholarship with a $7,000 Global Scholarship. The award is partial funding because it reduces tuition but does not fully cover tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, travel, books, or personal expenses. First-year awards are renewable for up to four years or graduation, whichever comes first, while transfer awards are renewable for up to two years. Students are notified in the admission letter, and Global Scholarship funding is prioritized by the order in which complete admission files are received.
