Baylor Baptist Heritage Scholarship
Offered by Baylor University
About this scholarship
The Baylor Baptist Heritage Scholarship is a limited, need-based award for incoming freshmen who combine academic commitment with active service in a Baptist church. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need, enroll full time at Baylor, and provide church-involvement certification signed by a church official on church letterhead. Because funding is limited and awarded first come, first served, applicants should assemble the certification and submit it through Baylor Student Financial Services as early as possible after admission and financial-aid filing. The official Contact Us form is the direct documentation route linked here. Baylor does not publish a fixed dollar amount, so this record correctly lists funding as variable rather than repeating an unsupported estimate. The scholarship can renew beyond the first year for a maximum of eight terms when the recipient remains a full-time undergraduate, continues to demonstrate need through FAFSA, and maintains at least a 2.5 cumulative Baylor GPA. Baylor also encourages ongoing service in a local Baptist church in Waco. This opportunity is specifically for incoming freshmen with documented need and church involvement; students seeking awards based on a minister parent, missionary parent, youth speaking placement, or ministry major should use Baylor’s separate programs.
