Banach Scholarship Programme (NAWA, Poland)
Offered by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)
About this scholarship
The Banach Scholarship Programme, run by Poland's National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), enables citizens of developing partner countries to pursue full-time second-cycle (master's) studies, in Polish or English, at public universities supervised by Poland's Minister of Science and Higher Education. It is effectively fully funded: scholars receive a monthly scholarship of PLN 2,500, an exemption from tuition fees at public universities, a NAWA-funded preparatory course (helpful for language and academic preparation), and a travel allowance of PLN 2,500. The programme is open to citizens of around 36 countries covered by Polish development aid across Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America (the exact list is published in each call). Fields span across disciplines, with a strong emphasis on engineering, technical sciences, agricultural sciences, and natural sciences in NAWA's related programmes. Applications are submitted through the NAWA ICT online system during the annual call. Selection considers academic record and the candidate's fit with the programme's development goals.
