AUC Art History Scholarship for Continuing Students

Offered by AUC Art History + Curatorial Studies Collective

About this scholarship

The AUC Art History Scholarship supports rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have officially declared an Art History major at an Atlanta University Center institution. Applicants need at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, good academic and conduct standing, and a grade of B or higher in one or more program-approved Art History or Curatorial Studies courses. First-time candidates use the live application to submit a 250–500 word narrative describing career goals or research interests, a recommendation from an undergraduate faculty member or internship supervisor, and an unofficial transcript; they also complete an interview with AUC Collective faculty or staff. Renewal applicants submit a new application and transcript each year. Continued funding requires a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a 3.0 GPA in Art History and any eligible minor, continued good standing, continuous enrollment, and at least 15 credit hours in both fall and spring. Support is available for up to three academic years or six semesters. Study-abroad and domestic-exchange students may remain eligible when they satisfy all requirements, but international students and students ineligible for federal aid are excluded. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with May 15 strongly encouraged. The official sponsor does not state a fixed dollar value, so this record does not repeat the directory’s unsupported $1,000 estimate.
