APIA Scholarship (Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholars)

Offered by APIA Scholars

About this scholarship

The APIA Scholarship Program offers one application for awards ranging from $2,500 one-time scholarships to $20,000 multi-year scholarships. APIA Scholars has published the next cycle dates: the 2027–28 application opens November 15, 2026 and closes January 15, 2027 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern, with decisions scheduled for April and disbursement during Summer 2027. The program is open to undergraduate applicants from all backgrounds; it does not require applicants to identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander. Selection gives priority to students with significant financial need, especially those living at or below the poverty line and those who would be the first generation in their family to attend college. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent residents, or citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or Republic of Palau. They must be pursuing their first associate or bachelor’s degree at an accredited U.S. college or university. Full-time and part-time degree-seeking enrollment are both accepted, but graduate students and applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree are not eligible. The official scholarship page is the current application landing page and will expose the online form when the cycle opens; applicants can use the sponsor’s notification form before November.
