American Australian Association Arts Fund Grant

Offered by American Australian Association

About this scholarship

The American Australian Association Arts Fund Grant provides up to USD $5,000 to emerging and early-career artists undertaking artistic development in the other partner country. Supported disciplines include theatre, film, television, dance, music, visual arts, design, literature, and photography. Funds may contribute to travel, living expenses, tuition, and related project costs for competitive graduate programs, selected internships, residencies, masterclasses, workshops, or mentorship by a recognized practitioner. The grant is not limited to formal degree study, so it is classified across study levels and as partial funding. Australian citizens or permanent residents must undertake the opportunity in the United States; U.S. citizens or permanent residents must go to Australia. Dual U.S.–Australian citizens or residents are not eligible. Applicants need a formal offer from the host organization, mentor, or accredited institution when they apply. A project must begin no later than eight months after the deadline, and work already underway cannot be more than 75 percent complete. Previous American Australian Association scholarship or grant recipients may not apply. The artist must prepare the application personally and submit a passport page, resume, headshot, portfolio or other work samples, host letter, budget, and three recommendations. Round two is open through September 30, 2026 in the direct application portal.
