Alfred State Scholars Out-of-State Scholarship
Offered by Alfred State College, SUNY
About this scholarship
The Alfred State Scholars Out-of-State Scholarship helps academically talented non-New York students enter a bachelor’s degree program at Alfred State College, part of the State University of New York. The current award is worth up to $10,950 per year. Alfred State determines each student’s amount from the strength of the academic record and available funding, so the advertised maximum is not guaranteed. First-time and transfer applicants may qualify, but they must reside and attend high school outside New York, enroll full time in a baccalaureate program, live in college housing, and study in person at the Alfred or Wellsville campus. Online students are not eligible. There is no separate scholarship application: students apply for admission, and the college evaluates eligible applicants automatically. Awarded students must commit to Alfred State by May 1 to secure the scholarship; some awards may not be available for spring entrants. Continued eligibility requires a minimum 2.0 GPA every semester, uninterrupted full-time enrollment, on-campus residence, and on-campus study. The award amount can change if New York State updates tuition rates. Applicants should use the college’s live admissions portal and then rely on their official financial-aid offer for the exact value and duration.
