AISES Scholarships

About this scholarship

AISES Scholarships are a portfolio of scholarship opportunities administered through the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and its OASIS platform. The official AISES page states that the scholarships help reduce college affordability barriers for Indigenous students and that opportunities include AISES scholarships, The Cobell Scholarship, and other scholarships offered through Indigenous Education, Inc. and Dream Warriors. The award is recorded as varies because each scholarship has its own amount, GPA rule, major requirement, academic status requirement, and supporting documents. At minimum, AISES states that all scholarships require AISES membership, which is free for students. Applications open on December 15 and close on April 30 of each scholarship application period, and awards are provided for each academic year with equal fall and spring disbursements. Students create a General Application Profile in OASIS, which can be completed and revised year-round and matched to eligible open scholarships. Finalists may need transcripts, enrollment verification, direct deposit forms, a photo, and donor thank-you materials.

Eligibility

• Create or maintain AISES student membership
• Complete a General Application Profile in OASIS
• Meet the specific GPA, major, academic status, and identity rules of each matched scholarship
• Submit required transcripts or enrollment documentation when requested
• Maintain full-time status during the awarded academic year unless the specific scholarship allows otherwise
• Provide award follow-up materials such as direct deposit forms or donor thank-you letters if selected
