About this scholarship
The AGC Education and Research Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship provides up to $2,500 per year for as many as three years to students preparing for careers in commercial construction. The 2027–2028 competition is open now and uses AGC’s direct SmarterSelect application. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens or documented permanent residents pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction-related engineering, or a dual degree that includes one of those subjects. The program must hold applicable ABET or ACCE accreditation. High school seniors cannot apply. Candidates must be rising sophomores or juniors in a four-year program, rising seniors in a five-year program, or second-year two-year-college students transferring into a qualifying four-year program for fall 2027. Students need at least one full academic year remaining, full-time enrollment, and a stated desire to work in construction. The application package includes a college transcript plus online evaluations from a faculty member and an employment supervisor. Finalists are interviewed by an AGC Foundation representative in early 2027. Renewal requires continued enrollment, good standing, and at least a 2.0 GPA. Complete applications are due by midnight Eastern time on November 1, 2026.
