AFE Vocational Bettinger, Holden & Perry Scholarship

Offered by American Floral Endowment

About this scholarship

The American Floral Endowment Vocational Bettinger, Holden & Perry Scholarship supports students in one- or two-year programs who intend to become professional growers or greenhouse managers. It is one of more than 30 AFE scholarships administered through a single online platform. AFE’s current awards range from $500 to $5,000; the amount assigned to this individual fund varies, so applicants should not rely on the directory’s $5,000 maximum as a guaranteed benefit. Students complete one online application and may select up to six AFE scholarships for which they qualify. A complete submission includes the application, a résumé, a recent transcript, and exactly two recommendation letters, preferably one from a teacher and one from an employer. All components are due May 1 each year, making May 1, 2027 the next annual deadline. The award is issued jointly to the recipient and the college or institution attended in the fall, and AFE normally notifies scholarship recipients by July 1. Applicants should use the official scholarship descriptions to confirm they meet both AFE’s general requirements and the vocational fund’s specialized career requirement before selecting it in the portal.
