The Aalto University Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based relocation grant for talented fee-paying students admitted to selected Aalto University School of Business master's programmes. The official Aalto scholarships page says the award is for applicants required to pay tuition fees who apply to the Master's Programme in Marketing or the Master's Programme in International Management. The scholarship consists of a EUR 3,000 relocation grant paid during the first year of attendance to a Finnish or SEPA bank account after enrolment. It is partial funding because it does not cover tuition, living costs, housing, travel beyond relocation needs, insurance, books, or personal expenses. Applicants submit their Aalto master's application and can also apply for the Aalto University Excellence Scholarship during the same admission process. After submitting the admission application, they complete the Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarship form with motivation and eligibility information by the published deadline. Selection occurs during admission based on the programme's academic evaluation criteria, and the scholarship cannot be combined with the Aalto University Excellence Scholarship.
