2027 Tricia LeVangie Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship
Offered by International Furnishings and Design Association Educational Foundation
About this scholarship
The 2027 Tricia LeVangie Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship is one of the distinct 2027 student awards administered by the International Furnishings and Design Association Educational Foundation. It provides $1,500 tuition scholarship for a student pursuing interior design or a closely related furnishings and design discipline at a United States institution. The scholarship supports a full- or part-time undergraduate who applies current green and sustainable principles in coursework and intends to pursue environmental leadership, including a future LEED credential. Portfolio work should make that sustainability focus visible. Applicants do not need to be U.S. citizens, but they must attend school in the United States, satisfy the award-specific enrollment rules, and remain enrolled through at least the end of the fall 2027 semester. Most candidates must already have completed four postsecondary design courses. A complete packet includes the official application, an unofficial registrar transcript showing enrollment and GPA, a 200-400 word goals and interests essay, an individual design-project presentation with process and final drawings or renderings, additional portfolio images, and an instructor or professor recommendation on school stationery. Materials are submitted as PDF files to the Foundation rather than through a commercial scholarship directory. The official award page provides the application packet. IFDAEF accepts 2027 applications from March 1 through March 31, pays scholarship funds directly to the recipient's school for tuition, and says incomplete or late packets will not be reviewed.
