2027 National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholarship

Offered by National Space Club and Foundation

About this scholarship

The National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholarship combines a $50,000 college award with a national speaking opportunity at the 2027 Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner. The competition is open to U.S. citizens who are high school seniors through current undergraduate students at accredited U.S. educational institutions and have definite plans for a STEM career. The selected scholar must deliver the keynote address at the March 12, 2027 dinner in Washington, D.C.; the Foundation provides travel and lodging for the recipient and one guest. Applicants begin on the official registration page, receive credentials by email, and then complete the full online application. Required materials include an unofficial transcript, at least two recommendations from faculty members or science professionals, and a tightly timed video audition. In the two-to-three-minute video, the applicant must speak directly to the camera about the role they and their generation will play in humanity’s future in space. The video accounts for half of the published evaluation score, and entries outside the required duration are removed. Finalists must be available for a live video audition with the executive committee in early January 2027. The complete application and video are due October 30, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern.
