About this scholarship
The 2026 SoFi Scholarship Giveaway selects one $2,500 winner in each of 12 monthly entry periods. The August period closes August 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern, and new nonwinning entries do not carry into September; eligible students may submit one fresh entry in each later month through December. The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 states or District of Columbia who are at least 18, are SoFi members, and are enrolled in or accepted to a Title IV-accredited nonprofit four-year public or private college, university, or graduate program in the United States or D.C. A SoFi account is free and no purchase is necessary. The standard online route asks for the entrant’s name, email, and school, followed by member login or registration; no essay or interview is required. An alternate entry method described in the official rules involves linking an eligible external financial account through SoFi Relay, but doing so is not required for the standard form. Winners are chosen by random drawing, and the $2,500 generally goes to the verified school for cost-of-attendance expenses.
Eligibility
- Be a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia
- Be at least 18 years old at entry
- Be enrolled in or accepted to a Title IV-accredited nonprofit four-year college, university, or graduate program in the U.S. or D.C.
- Be or become a SoFi member; creating an account is free and no purchase is required
- Submit no more than one entry during the applicable monthly period
- Not be an excluded recent employee, household member, or immediate family member under the official rules
- Enter the August drawing by August 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time
