2026 Letitia Moore Arts Scholarship
Offered by York Art Association
About this scholarship
The Letitia Moore Charitable Trust Scholarship is an annual tuition award from the York Art Association for deserving art or art-history students. Awards are generally around $3,000, although the executive and scholarship committees determine the final amount and recipients each year. Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited college or university, major in art or art history, and have completed the first year of study with at least a 3.0 GPA. New England artists receive priority. Trustees, their families, and designees who make candidate recommendations cannot participate. The current direct PDF supports a mailed application that includes a letter describing educational and career goals and other evidence of merit. Applicants also provide two or three references familiar with their abilities and aspirations plus an official transcript showing enrollment beyond the first year, the qualifying major, and the prior-year GPA. If the school does not calculate GPA, a department chair or adviser may provide a good-standing letter instead. The award is paid directly to the college or university and may be used only for tuition. Applications are due September 1, 2026, with a decision expected within 60 days.
