2026 Elks National Foundation Emergency Educational Grant

Offered by Elks National Foundation

About this scholarship

The 2026 Elks National Foundation Emergency Educational Grant provides up to $5,000 for undergraduate education to the child or stepchild of an Elk who has died or become totally disabled. For a deceased parent or stepparent, the Elk must have been a member in good standing for at least one year at death. For total disability, the parent or stepparent must have been in good standing for at least one year before becoming disabled and must remain in good standing when assistance is requested. The foundation reviews the circumstances surrounding the death or disability. Student applicants must demonstrate financial need, attend an accredited U.S. college or university full time with at least 12 semester hours, and be unmarried and under age 24 during the application academic year. Grant size depends on the submitted financial information. A student who continues to meet the rules may receive as many as four Emergency Educational Grants during undergraduate study, but cannot accept more than one Elks National Foundation scholarship or grant in the same academic year. Funds are paid directly to the school and may cover only school-defined cost-of-attendance expenses such as tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board. The application is not a public download: applicants request it from the official scholarship email or phone listed on the program page. Complete applications must reach the foundation by December 31, 2026.
