2026 Caleb Sabados Memorial Scholarship
Offered by Little Home Builder
About this scholarship
The 2026 Caleb Sabados Memorial Scholarship provides $2,500 to a student preparing for a hands-on career in the skilled trades. Little Home Builder created the award in memory of Caleb Sabados, a Frederick High School graduate and apprentice electrician whose enthusiasm, resilience, and dedication to practical work continue through the program. Applicants must be high school graduates or college students who are currently attending or have been accepted to a trade school or an undergraduate skilled-trade program. They also need at least a 2.5 GPA and a meaningful Colorado connection. That connection may come from having been raised in Colorado, even when studying outside the state, or from plans to live, study, or complete trade training in Colorado. The central application requirement is a video essay. Applicants explain why they are excited to pursue a skilled trade, how they hope to shape its future, and the role they see themselves playing in keeping essential trades strong and relevant as technology changes other industries. The selection process emphasizes the clarity, authenticity, and thoughtfulness of that response. The official sponsor page links directly to the current Google application and identifies the application as open. All materials must be submitted by August 31, 2026, and the sponsor expects to announce the winner on September 15, 2026.
