About this scholarship
The $2,000 No Essay Scholarship by Sallie is a monthly scholarship sweepstakes for eligible U.S. students and parents. One entrant is randomly selected each month to receive $2,000 for college, and no essay is required. The official application is a short form embedded directly on Sallie’s scholarship page. Eligible entrants must be legal residents of one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory and must be at least 16 years old. They must also fit one of four groups: a current U.S. college student; a parent with a child currently enrolled at a U.S. college; a U.S. high school junior or senior who plans to enroll at an accredited U.S. college within one year of graduation; or that student’s parent. Sponsor employees, affiliated-company employees, their immediate families, and household members are excluded. The award is sent directly to the winner’s school after eligibility is confirmed; Sallie can hold funds until the winner enrolls. Entrants may apply again in later monthly drawings. The current deadline is August 31, 2026, followed by month-end drawings through December 31, 2026.
Eligibility
- Be a legal resident of a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory
- Be at least 16 years old when entering
- Be a current student at an accredited U.S. college or university, or the parent of one
- Alternatively, be a U.S. high school junior or senior planning college within one year of graduation, or the parent of one
- Complete the short official scholarship registration form
- Not be an employee or excluded family or household member of the sponsor or its affiliates
- Provide enrollment information so an award can be paid directly to the school
- Enter by August 31, 2026 for the current drawing or by a later published month-end deadline
