About this scholarship
The 1st Formations Business Scholarship provides up to five bursaries of £500 each, which the sponsor describes as approximately $750, to students at recognized academic institutions in the United Kingdom or United States. Applicants may be incoming students who hold an offer or current undergraduate or postgraduate students. The program is not restricted to business majors; instead, every applicant submits a 500-word supporting statement describing one business idea they would like to pursue during or after their studies and explaining the personal circumstances behind their need for financial support. Incoming students must attach an institutional offer letter. Current students must provide a recommendation from a tutor or course coordinator on their current UK or U.S. course, together with that sponsor’s email address or telephone number. Applicants must also include recent grades or examination results from the current course; prior or unrelated overseas-course results are not accepted, except verified results from an exchange component of the current program. Applications are sent through the email action on the official scholarship page and must arrive by January 31, 2027. The sponsor plans to contact and announce successful applicants by February 26, 2027. Funds may help with course materials, textbooks, living expenses, and other study costs.
Eligibility
- Hold an offer from, or currently study at, a recognized academic institution in the United Kingdom or United States
- Be entering or pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Submit a 500-word supporting statement describing one business idea and the personal need for financial support
- If incoming, provide a copy of the institutional offer letter
- If currently enrolled, provide a recommendation from a tutor or course coordinator on the current UK or U.S. course and include the recommender’s contact information
- Provide recent grades or examination results from the current course of study
- Send the complete application through the official scholarship-page email route by January 31, 2027
