Thea Foundation Visual Arts Scholarship Competition

Offered by Thea Foundation

About this scholarship

The Thea Foundation Visual Arts Scholarship Competition supports Arkansas high-school seniors graduating in Spring 2027 on the strength of their original artwork. The official category page states that ten scholarships are offered, with a top award of $10,000. The scholarship is not tied to an arts major, GPA, or test score and may be used at an accredited college or other eligible postsecondary institution; participating education partners may add matching aid. Applicants may submit one original two-dimensional or three-dimensional work in media such as painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, or assemblage. The current registration form asks the student to identify the category and medium, title the work, and provide an artist statement of no more than 125 words. Applying is a two-step process: submit the linked 2027 registration form, then use the separate upload link on Thea’s official program page to provide the artwork images and headshot. Two-dimensional work uses one image; three-dimensional work uses two or three views and may include a short video. The current official rules limit eligibility to Arkansas seniors, including eligible public-school, private-school, and homeschool students. Every component is due January 10, 2027.
