Thea Foundation Performing Arts Scholarship Competition

Offered by Thea Foundation

About this scholarship

The Thea Foundation Performing Arts Scholarship Competition awards ten scholarships to Arkansas high-school seniors, with a top prize of $10,000. Selection is based on performance talent rather than GPA, standardized-test results, or a plan to major in the arts. The scholarship follows the recipient to an accredited postsecondary institution, and a Thea education partner may provide additional matching aid. The current 2027 registration form accepts a two-minute audition in singing, dance, acting, spoken-word poetry, musical instrument, or another performance discipline. Thea’s detailed instructions call for one continuous, minimally produced recording that presents the applicant’s ability clearly; mobile-phone video is acceptable. Applicants identify their performance type and provide personal, parent, teacher, high-school, intended-college, and intended-major information on the linked registration form. They must then use the separate upload link on the official program page to send the audition file and a headshot. The current rules limit the competition to Arkansas seniors graduating in Spring 2027, including qualifying public-school, private-school, and homeschool students. Registration opens months in advance, and Thea does not accept late entries because of technical trouble. Both the form and required upload must be finished by January 10, 2027.
