Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas Credentialing and Workforce Development Scholarship

Offered by Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas

About this scholarship

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas Credentialing and Workforce Development Scholarship provides $500 to $1,500 for short-term training that can lead directly to employment. The current 2026–2027 application lists healthcare, technology, transportation, and technical pathways such as dental assisting, commercial driving, limited radiologic technology, practical nursing, medical assisting, coding and billing, pharmacy technology, phlebotomy, sterile processing, software and data careers, and veterinary technology; the fund may consider other programs. Students generally attend an approved regional provider such as Northwest Technical Institute, North Arkansas College, Petra Allied Health, Northwest Arkansas Community College, or an eligible University of Arkansas Global Campus program. Applicants must meet the fund’s core single-parent, county-residence, income, education, and work-authorization rules and must have completed no more than half of the training program when applying. Supporting documents verify identity, residence, custody, finances, and enrollment, and finalists may interview. Unlike the semester-based degree scholarship, this current Submittable form does not publish a single closing date and is presented as an open application, so the listing is marked rolling. Candidates should apply as soon as they select an eligible program, before crossing the 50-percent completion limit or available funds are committed.
