SBB Research Group Foundation STEM Scholarship

Offered by SBB Research Group Foundation

About this scholarship

The SBB Research Group Foundation STEM Scholarship awards $2,500 to full-time college students pursuing science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. The Foundation runs four application cycles and publishes twelve awards annually, three per quarter. The current summer cycle closes August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time; the following fall cycle runs September 1 through November 30. Applicants must be enrolled full time at a United States college or university and hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, supported by an unofficial transcript. Incoming high-school seniors are not eligible. For the summer and fall cycles, undergraduates must be sophomores through seniors; graduate students at any year may apply. The application centers on a response of no more than 500 words explaining the student’s most significant STEM experiences and how they will use STEM principles to improve the world. Selection is based on the strongest eligible submission. Applicants who have not previously won may return in later quarters, but they must submit a different essay each time. Immediate family members of current SBB Research Group employees are excluded. The Foundation may request further documentation, and a selected student has one week after notification to accept the award.
