Lithuanian Foundation Scholarship

Offered by Lithuanian Foundation, Inc.

About this scholarship

The Lithuanian Foundation Scholarship provides up to $7,500 for one academic year to full-time undergraduate and graduate students of Lithuanian heritage. The Foundation prioritizes applicants outside Lithuania, especially members of the Lithuanian Foundation, and students who demonstrate sustained involvement or volunteer service in Lithuanian communities. Donor-directed funds cover many subjects, while special attention goes to Lithuanian linguistics, literature, folklore, and history. Applicants need admission to an accredited institution and at least a 2.75 GPA. Associate-degree, certificate, and part-time programs are not eligible. Students from Lithuania pursuing bachelor’s degrees in the United States or another foreign country on student visas are excluded, although other Lithuanian and diaspora study situations may qualify under the published rules. The direct GrantInterface application must include a photograph, proof of citizenship or eligible visa documents, an official transcript, official full-time enrollment verification for 2026-2027, two current recommendations, the institution’s financial-aid award letter, and the FAFSA Student Aid Report or corresponding financial information. One recommendation must come from a current professor or teacher; family and friends cannot recommend. Every attachment must be uploaded before submission. Applications close October 1, 2026 at 11:45 p.m. Central, and award notices are expected December 11–20.
