Hopi Tuition and Book Award

Offered by Hopi Tribe Grants and Scholarships Program

About this scholarship

The Hopi Tuition and Book Award is the part-time or no-unmet-need pathway within the Hopi Tribe Grants and Scholarships Program. It serves enrolled Hopi Tribe members pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or postgraduate degree at a regionally accredited institution while taking 1–11 credit hours; the official packet also identifies the award for otherwise eligible students whose aid analysis shows no unmet need. Applicants use the direct HTGSP financial-aid PDF rather than a general tribal homepage. They must complete the FAFSA and seek federal, state, and institutional aid before tribal funds are considered. Required records include the program’s Hopi enrollment verification, official academic transcripts, an HTGSP Financial Needs Analysis completed by the institution, and an endorsed program of study for continuing students when applicable. GPA thresholds are 2.00 for freshmen, 2.25 for sophomores, 2.50 for juniors and seniors, and 3.00 for graduate or postgraduate students. The next term deadline is October 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time for winter study. HTGSP accepts complete scanned PDF materials by email but not faxes, screenshots, or late postmarked packets.
