Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship

Offered by Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance

About this scholarship

The Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship is the Bright Futures pathway for graduates with a strong high school career-and-technical-education record. Applicants must complete three full credits in one Career and Technical Education program, earn at least a 3.5 unweighted GPA in those CTE courses, and hold at least a 3.0 weighted GPA across the required non-elective high school courses. They must also meet the current ACT, SAT, or PERT score requirement and complete the volunteer-service, paid-work, or permitted combined-hours threshold that applies to their graduating cohort. Funding is a fixed amount per credit rather than a percentage of tuition. The current handbook lists $39 per semester credit for eligible career-certificate and applied-technology-diploma programs and $48 per semester credit for technical associate degrees or college credit certificates, with corresponding quarter- and clock-hour rates. The scholarship does not promise full tuition or living expenses, so it is partial funding and has no invented annual value. General Bright Futures rules also require Florida residency, U.S.-citizen or eligible-noncitizen status, an eligible diploma or equivalent, enrollment at an approved Florida institution, and an on-time Florida Financial Aid Application. The 2026–27 FFAA closes August 31, 2026.
