BigFuture Scholarships for the Class of 2027

Offered by College Board

About this scholarship

College Board’s BigFuture Scholarships for the Class of 2027 award $500 and $40,000 prizes through drawings tied to practical college-planning activities. There is no essay, minimum GPA, test-score threshold, or purchase. Eligible students create or sign in to a College Board account and complete tasks on the BigFuture dashboard, such as saving at least three careers or scholarships, strengthening a college list with reach, match, and safety schools, completing the FAFSA, or applying to at least two colleges. Each completed task earns an entry in the applicable monthly drawings, and earlier completion can create more chances to win. The Class of 2027 program closes November 30, 2026, although the strengthened-college-list task closes October 31. College Board’s official rules provide 45 general $500 winners each month plus 45 additional monthly winners from the lower-income pool. The $40,000 drawings also include general and additional lower-income awards on alternating schedules. A family adjusted gross income of $60,000 or less, SAT fee-waiver eligibility, or attendance in a qualifying high-poverty district can place a student in the additional lower-income drawings; College Board may request documentation. The $40,000 award is for undergraduate education and may be disbursed in installments in consultation with the winner’s college.
