2026 University of Wisconsin Balanced Man Scholarship

Offered by Sigma Phi Epsilon Wisconsin Beta Chapter

About this scholarship

The 2026 University of Wisconsin Balanced Man Scholarship distributes a total of $5,000 to eligible male-identifying incoming freshmen and sophomores at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Wisconsin Beta Chapter uses the award to recognize academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to health and personal well-being. There is no requirement to join the fraternity to apply or receive a scholarship. The live Fall 2026 application requests contact and birth information, gender identity, U.S. high-school attendance, expected graduation year, current or intended major or minor, ACT or SAT participation, cumulative high-school or college GPA, leadership and community involvement, honors and scholarships, and work experience. Applicants also answer three substantive prompts: how their experiences inside and outside the classroom fit the scholarship, what they learned from a failure, and what they consider their greatest strength. The official chapter page does not specify a minimum GPA, citizenship threshold, required major, or individual award amount. Students should prepare every response before starting because the form must be completed in one sitting and cannot be saved. The direct application is active and remains open through October 10, 2026.
