2026 NRA Women’s Wildlife Management and Conservation Scholarship

Offered by National Rifle Association Women’s Programs Committee

About this scholarship

The 2026 NRA Women’s Wildlife Management and Conservation Scholarship provides $5,000 to female undergraduates preparing for conservation and natural-resource careers. Eligible students must be full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors taking at least 12 credits per semester, hold a minimum 3.0 GPA, and pursue a recognized conservation or environmental degree such as wildlife biology, habitat restoration, forestry, parks, fish and wildlife conservation, or a related field. Qualifying research projects may also be considered. The award is paid as $2,500 per semester for up to two semesters; recipients must maintain the published criteria to receive the second installment. Funds go directly to the college or university and may support tuition and fees, books, room and board, and, in some cases, research materials. Reviewers evaluate knowledge of conservation and natural-resource issues as well as commitment to future leadership in conservation. The live official form requires a one-page career-goals statement explaining how the scholarship would be used, a current official college transcript, two recommendations from professors, mentors, or employers, and a 350-500+ word essay addressing at least one of three official topics involving wildlife funding, the North American conservation model, or a constitutional right to hunt. All uploads must be PDFs no larger than 5 MB each. The application deadline is November 1, 2026.
